What is in the Gallery

Minimize

Your visit to the Seaside Gallery starts with an introduction to the art and photography of Ruth Burke.  Her work will greet you when you enter the gallery.  There will be framed selections of her pieces representing the quality and the many styles of framing done at the Seaside Gallery.  There are a variety of styles and subjects from her classic Texas Gulf Coast imagery to scenes from faraway places like Santorini, Greece. The pieces on display in the gallery are all for sale or Ruth will custom print and frame one of her pieces to fit and match your decor.

There are many unframed prints that are waiting for a frame selection.  Small sized prints of Ruth's work are also for sale in standard sized mats.  These are handy for a quick going away or house warming gift, a memento of the area or to put a grouping of like subjects together on a wall.

To compliment the seaside nature of most of Ruth's prints, there are coastal birds carved from reclaimed wood, hand-made lamps and books featuring the history of the local communities.

As you venture pass the gallery of art you will enter the framing design center.  The walls are lined with samples of frame mouldings from high-end manufacturers such as Roma to the more economical lines of Studio.  In the middle are the Larson-Juhl profiles and Nurre-Caxton with metal frames from Nielson.

To the right is our two-tier display of mat samples from the Bainbridge, Crescent and Artique lines.  The walls above the  samples are lined with framed examples done at the Seaside Gallery featuring shadow-boxes with heirlooms from Ruth's family, graduation collage groupings of her daughters and awards and certificates for the Seaside Gallery.  On the left is a framed example showing the three types of UV protecting glass and how it will look on your framed piece.

Also to the left against the wall is the large 44 inch wide printer and Ruth's print work station in the upper left side of the gallery.  On most days, you can find Ruth hiding in this alcove working away on a customer's photo or her own latest shots that she is preparing for a new print or her website and her stock image portal on Alamy located at www.alamy.com.
